WHAT?
We are thrilled to launch The High Tide project, our two-year physical theatre initiative carried out in collaboration with creative partners across the Nordic region.
This project combines the creation of Kauri Honkakoski Company’s ensemble show HIGH TIDE with the collective development of artistic practices and operational opportunities within mime and physical theatre. The project consists of workshops, residencies, seminars, articles, a creative outcome, audience discussions, open rehearsals, guest performances, and more.
HOW?
By bringing together physical theatre artists and organizations in Finland, Sweden and Denmark, the project strengthens the position of physical theatre and mime within the Nordic performing arts field.
WHERE & WHEN?
The High Tide project takes place over 2026-2027 in Finland, Sweden and Denmark.
DID YOU SAY WORKSHOPS?
Yes! We are excited to team up with our partners to bring workshops to Helsinki, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Odense, online and more.
The workshop series includes superb movement training, engaging artistic discussions, and a unique behind-the-scenes look at the creative process of our ensemble production, HIGH TIDE. Designed for performing arts professionals and students, the workshops provide a platform for high-level skill development and networking within the Nordic physical theatre community.

DID YOU SAY A NEW SHOW?
Absolutely! During the project we will create Kauri Honkakoski Company’s next ensemble production, HIGH TIDE, premiering 22nd Oct 2026 at Cultural Centre Stoa, Helsinki before touring the Nordic region.
We look forward to sharing this work with You and, as always, connecting through our open rehearsals and post-show talks.
